Mohana Holloway is a digital marketer and journalist who specializes in sports marketing and written work.

MY JOURNEY
In 2023, I graduated with a degree in Broadcast Media Studies (hons.) and gained experience in sport communications working for the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Canadian Premier League’s Forge FC. I also had the opportunity to work with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on their flagship show Canada Tonight.

In Fall 2024, I graduated from Arizona State University with my master's degree in Sports Journalism with distinction and Summa Cum Laude honors. During my time at ASU, I worked in the Cronkite Agency, doing social media and digital marketing for real-world clients. I also got the opportunity to do a variety of media work for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Final Four, Section 7, Scottsdale Fashion Week, Arizona Fashion Week and Arizona State University Gymnastics. I have also worked with The Arizona Republic, giving me experience with sports writing and social media.
The incredible sense of comradery and charitable giving within sports led me to my current position with Valley of the Sun United Way, where I am the Marketing Specialist. In this role, I oversee all of our digital platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, X(Twitter), Facebook and our website content. My work includes creating, planning and executing social media strategy - specifically focused on target market segmentation, which is one of my biggest skill sets. I also do photography, video creation, blog and press release writing and I have the opportunity to work closely with our corporate partners and nonprofit/grassroot organizations. I also am proud to be proficient in the skills of strategic communication, storytelling, graphic design, Adobe platforms and marketing campaign creation.
My experiences in both sports and nonprofits have led me to realize the power of community connection, and this guides my work ethic and passions. Whether it's crafting social media strategies, creating content, planning advertisement campaigns, or managing athlete relations, I am able to produce impressive and innovative results, and I love every part of it.
